Dogs are allowed off-leash on Mitchell's Cove Beach between sunrise and 10 am and from 4 pm to sunset. They must be on-leash during other hours. The beach is along West Cliff Drive between Woodward and Almar. While off-leash dogs must be under voice control.

This beach is considered the safest swimming area in Ventura because of the protection of the cove. Dogs of all sizes are allowed at this beach as well as on the 6 miles of Ventura City Beaches and on the long wooden pier, but they are not allowed on any of the beaches south of the Ventura Pier or on any of the State beaches. Dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after at all times.

This park is a one acre oceanfront park on the site of an old Indian village near Seaside Park. This park is one of the area's most popular surfing and windsurfing beaches, and it offers showers, picnic facilities and restrooms, and is connected with the Ventura Pier by a scenic landscaped Promenade walkway and the Omer Rains Bike Trail. Dogs are allowed on the 6 miles of Ventura City Beaches and on the long wooden pier, but they are not allowed on any of the beaches south of the Ventura Pier or on any of the State beaches. This is an unfenced off-leash area where dogs may swim in the Union Reservoir. Dogs may only be off-leash in the designated area and must be leashed when in the rest of the rec area. Dogs are not allowed on beaches outside of the dog beach.

Located just north of the New Pass Bridge, this barrier island beach offers a perfect off-leash area for beach-lov'in pups.This beach is actually in Bonita Beach on the city line with Fort Myers Beach. Dogs are allowed in designated areas only, and they must be licensed, immunized, and non-aggressive to people, other pets, or wildlife. Dogs may not be left unattended at any time, and they must be under their owner's control at all times; clean-up stations are provided. Two healthy dogs are allowed per person over 15 years old. Dogs on Fort Myers Beach must be leashed at all times.

This water park for dogs offers pets beach and water fun, and there are benches, picnic tables, trash cans, pooper scooper stations, and a washing station on site. Dogs must be sociable, current on all vaccinations, licensed, and under their owner's control at all times. Dogs must be leashed when not in designated off-lead areas.
